John Bowler (actor)
John Bowler (born 13 September 1952) is an English actor best known for playing P.C. Roger Valentine in ITV’s ''The Bill'' from 2004 until the series ended in 2010. Career John Bowler was educated in Yorkshire, and trained at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama Glasgow. in 1988, after a number of TV appearances in his early career, he portrayed the regular character David Lynch in the romantic sitcom '' Watching'', alongside Emma Wray. He remained in the role until the series ended in 1993. John Bowler (politician)
John James Mansell Bowler (born 22 September 1949 in Kalgoorlie) is a former Australian politician who was a member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2013. Bowler, then a member of the Labor Party, was elected to the legislature from the former seat of Eyre in 2001. He transferred to Murchison-Eyre in 2005, and was appointed as Minister for Local Government and Regional Development, Land Information, Goldfields-Esperance and Great Southern following the re-election of the Labor Government at that year's election and added the Sport and Recreation portfolio in November 2005. In February 2006, following the election of Alan Carpenter as premier, he was promoted to the portfolios of Resources and Assisting the Minister for State Development; Employment Protection, Goldfields-Esperance and Great Southern. John Bowler (businessman)
John Bowler, MBE (14 February 1937 – 16 February 2022) was an English businessman and the chairman of Crewe Alexandra Football Club. Elected chairman in 1988, he resigned in March 2021 following criticisms of him and the club in the Football Association's inquiry into sex abuse in English football. Biography Having joined the board in 1980, Bowler became chairman at Crewe Alexandra in 1988, succeeding Norman Rowlinson. Prior to joining Crewe, he was a marketing director at pharmaceutical company Wellcome. His time at Crewe coincided with the appointment and long tenure of manager Dario Gradi, the most successful period in its history. Under his chairmanship, the club won promotion six times (twice at Wembley). The club reached the second tier, Division One, in 1997, after victory over Brentford in the Division Two play-off final, and finished in 11th position, their highest finishing position, in the 1997–98 First Division season. John Andrew Bowler
John Andrew Bowler (March 1, 1862 – October 7, 1935) was an American educator and Baptist minister. He was the first minister of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia and was one of the organizers for the first school for African Americans in Church Hill. He died on October 7, 1935, and is buried in the historic Evergreen Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. The former Springfield School on Twenty Six Street in Richmond was renamed in his honor.
