Johannes Rauch
Johannes Rauch (; born 24 April 1959 in Rankweil) is an Austrian politician (Green Party) who has been serving as Federal Minister of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection in the government of chancellor Karl Nehammer since 8 March 2022. Before taking office as Federal Minister, he was Provincial Councillor for the Environment and Mobility in the Vorarlberg State Government. In October 2023 Rauch stated that his political career will end with his current position, but not his political engagement. Rauch is sceptical of the FPÖ. National Council (Austria)
The National Council (german: Nationalrat) is one of the two houses of the Austrian Parliament and is frequently referred to as the lower house. The constitution endows the National Council with far more power than the Federal Council. Responsibilities The National Council is where Austria's federal legislative authority is concentrated; for a bill to become federal law, it must be resolved upon by this chamber. Bills passed by the National Council are sent to the Federal Council for corroboration. If the Federal Council approves of the bill or simply does nothing for eight weeks, the bill has succeeded. If the Federal Council vetoes the bill, the National Council may still force it into law by essentially just passing it again; a National Council resolution overruling a Federal Council objection merely has to meet a higher quorum than a regular resolution. Council Of European Municipalities And Regions
The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) is the largest organisation of local and regional governments in Europe. Its members are 60 national associations of towns, municipalities and regions from 41 countries that are part of the Council of Europe. Together these associations represent about 130,000 local and regional authorities. At the head of its political structure is its president, currently the president of the region Emilia-Romagna, Stefano Bonaccini. Karl Nehammer (; born 18 October 1972) is an Austrian politician who is the 32nd and current Chancellor of Austria since 6 December 2021. A member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), he previously was Minister of the Interior from 2020 to 2021, general secretary of the ÖVP from 2018 to 2020, as well as a member of the National Council from 2017 to 2020. Nehammer assumed the chancellorship as the successor of Alexander Schallenberg, who resigned to return as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
