Johannes Hintz
__NOTOC__ Johannes Hintz (1 October 1898 – 21 May 1944) was a German general during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross of Nazi Germany. Hintz was injured in a car-accident on 14 May 1944 in Paris and died on 21 May 1944. He was posthumously promoted to Generalleutnant. Condor is the common name for two species of New World vultures, each in a monotypic genus. The name derives from the Quechua ''kuntur''. They are the largest flying land birds in the Western Hemisphere. The ''Luftwaffe'' () was the aerial-warfare branch of the German ''Wehrmacht'' before and during World War II.
