Johannes Gaitanides
Johannes Gaitanides (1909 in Dresden – 1988 in Schondorf) was a German writer and journalist. Biography Gaitanides was born as a son of a Greek father and a German mother. He studied in Munich German literature, history and literature. He finished his studies in 1936 with a dissertation (Dr. phil.). His activities during the Second World War are unclear and have differing accounts. He himself stated that he continued his work reporting and publishing for news stations and the ''Historical Commission of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences'', even that he had emigrated to Greece temporarily for political reasons. However, other accounts claim that he had cooperated during the war as a war correspondent for the government, and as a special Waffen-SS contact. Paul List (21 August 1869 – 30 April 1929) was a German publisher. Life Born in Berlin the son of Friedrich Jacob Alfred List (1829-1882), banker and co-founder of , and his wife Christine Marie Louise, ''née'' Simon, started out in Göttingen But then he started the career of his grandfather, the Berlin publisher Jacob Alfred List (1778-1848), who studied agriculture and became a bookseller at the publishing house Schall & Grund, Berlin. Theodor Wolff
Theodor Wolff (2 August 1868 – 23 September 1943) was a German writer who was influential as a journalist, critic and newspaper editor. He was born and died in Berlin. Between 1906 and 1933 he was the chief editor of the politically liberal newspaper ''Berliner Tageblatt''. His talent as a writer won praise from an unlikely quarter: In 1939 Joseph Goebbels recommended his Propaganda Ministry staff to study Wolff's contributions in back numbers of the newspaper that he had edited. According to Goebbels, despite his being Jewish, the quality of Wolff's writing was matched by only very few in Germany.
