Johanne Hesbeck
Ida Johanne Hesbeck (2 September 1873 – 25 March 1927) was a Danish photographer. From 1915 to 1927, she ran a successful portrait studio in Holte, north of Copenhagen. Biography Born in Varde, Jutland, Hesbeck was the daughter of a merchant, Christoffer Johannes Hesbeck. She trained as a photographer under Peter Elfelt, who employed her from 1905 to 1914. In 1914, she moved to Søllerød Municipality Until 1 January 2007 Søllerød was a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Copenhagen County on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. Varde
Varde is a Danish city in southwestern Jutland and is the primary city in the municipality of Varde, in Region of Southern Denmark. In 2015 municipality changed its motto to "We in nature" to emphasize its rural atmosphere. The town has an old market environment and is located by Varde stream/river and is a short distance away from the beaches by the North Sea. These features make it a tourist destination. The age of Varde is not known precisely, but it is mentioned in written sources from 1107 A.D. and is therefore thought have been founded sometime in the early Middle Ages. Holte
Holte is a suburban district in Rudersdal Municipality on the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The local town centre is centred on Holte station and is surrounded by extensive areas of single-family, detached homes as well as several lakes and forests. The district has merged with the old villages of Søllerød and Øverød which both belong to Holte postal district (2840 Holte). Peter Elfelt
Peter Elfelt (1 January 1866 – 18 February 1931) was a Denmark, Danish photographer and film director known as the first movie pioneer in Denmark when he began making documentary films in 1897. Biography Peter Elfelt was born Peter Lars Petersen in Denmark on 1 January 1866. (He changed his name to Elfelt when he began making films.) He apprenticed in photography in Hillerød in 1893 with the photographer Carl Rathsack. He also studied with the camera builder Jens Poul Andersen. In 1893, Elfelt opened his own atelier in Copenhagen with his two brothers as his assistants. As his photographic skills became appreciated, his business flourished and by 1901 Elfelt was named "Kongelige Hoffotograf" (Royal Court Photographer). Søllerød Municipality
Until 1 January 2007 Søllerød was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Copenhagen County on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 39.77 km², and had a total population of 31,920 (2006). Its mayor was Erik Fabrin, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party.
