Johan Pérez (born 10 June 1983) is a Venezuelan professional boxer. He is a former interim WBA Light welterweight champion. Professional career On December 10, 2011, Pérez defeated Fernando Castañeda by fourth round technical knockout for the vacant interim WBA light welterweight title. Then go on to lose it to Pablo César Cano. He would go on to have a second reign, outpointing the previously undefeated Paul Spadafora by majority decision on November 30, 2013, again for the vacant title. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Professional boxing In professional boxing, light welterweight is contested between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, in which boxers weigh above 61.2kg or 135 pounds and up to 63.5 kg or 140 pounds. Fabián Andrés Maidana (born 22 June 1992) is an Argentine professional boxer. As an amateur, he won a silver medal at the 2010 Youth World Championships and a bronze at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. He is the younger brother of former two-division world champion Marcos Maidana. Kenny Omar Galarza Arocho (born October 16, 1985) is a professional boxer. He competes in the light welterweight division, and represented Puerto Rico at numerous events as an amateur. The Dignity Health Sports Park is a tennis center in Carson, Los Angeles, California, United States. It is adjacent to the soccer stadium of the same name, which is home to the LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer (MLS).
