Johan Martin Jakob Von Tengström
Johan Martin Jakob von Tengström (1821 in Ã…bo – 1890) was a Finnish entomologist. Tengström specialised in Lepidoptera. Tengström visited Java in 1849 where he discovered several new species of Lepidoptera. He made shorter trips within Europe. His collection is held by the Natural History Museum of Helsinki. The Natural History Museum ( fi, Luonnontieteellinen museo, sv, Naturhistoriska museet) is one of the museums under the directorship of the Finnish Museum of Natural History, part of the University of Helsinki, in Helsinki, Finland. History of the museum The building that houses the museum, located on Arkadiankatu and Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu in central Helsinki, was built in 1913. It was originally built for the Alexander Lyceum, a Russian-speaking cadet school, where the pupils were distinguished by their military-type uniforms.
