Johan Berthin Holte
Johan Berthin Holte (19 February 1915 – 1 April 2002) was a Norwegian businessperson. He was born in Notodden as a son of chief administrative officer Peder Olaus Holte (1875–1943) and Lorentze Indorff (1890–19). In 1944 he married artist Eva Vibeke Bull (1922–1991). He graduated with a degree in chemistry from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1938. He was hired by Norsk Hydro in 1948 as head of their Notodden department. He advanced to become director of research from 1957 to 1964 and assisting director-general from 1964 to 1966. In 1967 he was hired as director-general (CEO). He stayed in this position until 1977; after this he was chairman of the board from 1977 to 1985. He also chaired Kværner, Standard Telefon og Kabelfabrik and Sør-Norge Aluminium, was a board member of the Norwegian Employers' Confederation, Alnor, IBM in Norway, Dyno Industrier and Vannlinjen, and a supervisory council member of Borregaard, Elektrokemisk, AS Vestheim and Skips-AS ... Notodden
Notodden () is a List of towns and cities in Norway, city and List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestfold og Telemark Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Districts of Norway, traditional region of Øst-Telemark. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Notodden. Notodden was separated from the municipality of Heddal in 1913 to become a separate city and municipality. On 1 January 1964, the rural municipalities of Heddal and Gransherad were merged into Notodden to form a new enlarged municipality. Notodden is on the shore of Heddalsvatnet lake, and the Tinnelva, Tinn River runs through the town into the lake. Emil Eriksrud
Emil Harboe Eriksrud (27 January 1926 – 8 March 1990) was a Norwegian businessperson and judge. He graduated with the Candidate of Law degree in 1949, and also took the average adjuster examination. He was a deputy judge in Tromsø, lecturer in jurisprudence at the University of Oslo and junior solicitor before becoming a barrister at the age of 34. In 1960 he was hired as a jurist in the corporation Hafslund. In 1974 he attended the six-week Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. He became vice chief executive of Hafslund in 1976, and was the chief executive from 1979 to 1987. Among the important things to happen during his presidency was the acquisition of Actinor and thereby Nycomed in 1986. After retreating from Hafslund he served as presiding judge in Eidsivating Court of Appeal for some years until his death in 1990. Preben Hempel Munthe (15 October 1922 – 3 January 2013) was a Norwegian economist. He was born in Aker, the son of librarian Wilhelm Munthe (1883–1965) and his wife Jenny Hempel (1882–1975). Gerhard Munthe was his elder brother. The younger Munthe finished his secondary education in 1941, and graduated from the University of Oslo with the cand.oecon. degree five years later. He was employed as a research fellow at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in the following year, and was promoted to docent in 1956. He was born in Kristiania as a son of rector Niels Johan Hagerup Østbye (1866–1952) and Johanne Elisabeth Mellbye (1873–1962).
