Joe Wieskamp
Joseph Hinman Wieskamp (born August 23, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball, Iowa Hawkeyes before being drafted 41st overall in the 2021 NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Early life and high school career In middle school, Wieskamp played American football, football as a quarterback and was a talented baseball player. He quit football after breaking his thumb and eventually decided to focus solely on basketball. Wieskamp played basketball for Muscatine High School in his hometown of Muscatine, Iowa. In his freshman season, he averaged 18.6 points per game, which made him the top scoring freshman in Iowa. Iowa Hawkeyes Men's Basketball
The Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team is part of the University of Iowa athletics department. The Hawkeyes have played in 28 NCAA Tournaments, eight NIT Tournaments, won eight Big Ten regular-season conference championships and won the Big Ten tournament three times. Iowa has played in the Final Four on three occasions, reaching the semifinals in 1955 and 1980 and playing in the championship game against the University of San Francisco in 1956. The Mississippi Athletic Conference (MAC Conference, or MAC) is a high school athletic conference whose members are located in the Iowa Quad-Cities, plus three other schools in eastern Iowa. Member schools There are ten full members of the Mississippi Athletic Conference. Eight of those schools are in Class 4A for boys' and girls' sports and Class 4A, Iowa's largest enrollment classes.
