Joe Wardle
Joe Wardle (born 22 September 1991) is a Scotland international rugby league footballer who plays as a or forward for the Leigh Leopards in the Betfred Super League. He previously played for the Bradford Bulls, Huddersfield and the Castleford Tigers ( Heritage № 981) in the Super League, and the Newcastle Knights in the NRL. He spent time on loan from the Giants at the Barrow Raiders in the Championship in 2011. He has also spent time on loan from Castleford at Huddersfield in the Super League. Background Wardle was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. Career Bradford Bulls Wardle came through the ranks at Bradford Bulls after signing from Illingworth A.R.L.F.C. 2014 European Cup (rugby League)
The 2014 European Cup was an international rugby league football tournament. The tournament took place in England, Wales, France, Ireland and Scotland between 17 October and 2 November. It was announced beforehand that the winner of the tournament would qualify for the 2016 Four Nations, and also that if Ireland or Wales won tournament, they will automatically qualify for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup (due to the World Cup qualifying tournament taking place at the same time as the 2016 Four Nations). France and Scotland had already qualified for that tournament. The England Knights were defending Champions but they did not compete in this year's tournament. Four teams competed in the 2014 event; Scotland, Ireland, France and Wales. Scotland were crowned champions on points differential, and subsequently won their first European Cup title. The Penrith Panthers are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith that competes in the NRL. The team is based west of the centre of Sydney, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. Penrith are the current reigning NRL Premiers, having won the title four times.
