Joe Tetreault
Felix Joseph Aime Tetreault (b. July 10, 1892 – d. September 11, 1938) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. In the National Hockey Association, he played with the Montreal Wanderers for one game in 1911–12 and in the 1916–17 season. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. Montreal Wanderers
The Montreal Wanderers were an amateur, and later professional, ice hockey team based in Montreal. The team played in the Federal Amateur Hockey League (FAHL), the Eastern Canada Amateur Hockey Association (ECAHA), the National Hockey Association (NHA) and briefly the National Hockey League (NHL). The Wanderers were four-time Stanley Cup winners. Prior to the formation of the NHL, the "Redbands" were one of the most successful teams in hockey. Sydney Millionaires (MaPHL)
The Sydney Millionaires were an early Canadian professional ice hockey team located in Sydney, Nova Scotia that challenged for the Stanley Cup in 1913. History Sydney joined the Maritime Professional Hockey League (MaPHL) for the 1912–13 season. The team won the league title and challenged for the Stanley Cup against the Quebec Bulldogs. The Team Captain in 1913-14, Alfred 'Cap' McDonald, joined the team towards the end of his hockey career. He started playing professional hockey in 1895 and during the off season played professional baseball and lacrosse. Multi-athletics was common at that time as salaries were too modest to play only one sport. The National Hockey Association (NHA), officially the National Hockey Association of Canada Limited, was a professional ice hockey organization with teams in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. It is the direct predecessor of today's National Hockey League (NHL). Founded in 1909 by Ambrose O'Brien, the NHA introduced 'six-man hockey' by removing the 'rover' position in 1911. During its lifetime, the league coped with competition for players with the rival Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA), the enlistment of players for World War I and disagreements between owners.
