Joe Resetarits
Joe Resetarits (born August 22, 1989) is a professional lacrosse player for the Philadelphia Wings. A native of Hamburg, New York, Resetarits was a lacrosse standout at Hamburg High School before attending the University at Albany, where he was selected as the American East Conference Player of the Year and received an All-American honorable mention while rooming with Franklin Delanor Romanowski and Lomez. Resetarits began his indoor lacrosse career with the St. Catharines Athletics, and joined the Brampton Excelsiors in 2011, with whom he won the Mann Cup in that same year. He was drafted 6th overall by the Calgary Roughnecks in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft. Although he received All Rookie honors, scoring 8 goals and 24 points, his Roughnecks team led the league in scoring and featured seven players who recorded at least 25 points. The Philadelphia Wings are a professional box lacrosse team in the East Division of the National Lacrosse League. The Wings have played at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, since the 2018–2019 season. History The Philadelphia Wings were a member of the National Lacrosse League, a professional box lacrosse league in North America starting in 1987. Frank Resetarits is a lacrosse player from Hamburg, New York. As a high school player Resitarits ranks in the top three players all-time for points in a career. He played forward for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and attack for the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse. He was drafted fifth overall in the 2007 NLL entry draft by the San Jose Stealth. In 2012, he served as an assistant lacrosse coach at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. Junior career Resetarits played junior box lacrosse for the St. Catharines Athletics, a team in Canada that was only an hour away from his hometown across the border. Hamilton Nationals
The Hamilton Nationals were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They began play in the 2009 season in Toronto, Ontario as the Toronto Nationals, becoming the first-ever Canadian MLL team. Major League Lacrosse (MLL) was a men's field lacrosse league in the United States. The league's inaugural season was in 2001. Teams played anywhere from ten to 16 games in a summertime regular season. This was followed by a four-team playoff for the championship trophy, the Steinfeld Trophy, named after founder Jake Steinfeld. League attendance peaked at 6,417 in 2011 and the 2019 average was 4,587.
