Joe Quinn (second Baseman)
Joseph "Joe" James Quinn (25 December 1864 – 12 November 1940) was an Australian second baseman who played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball. Born in Ipswich, Queensland, to Patrick Quinn and Catherine, née McAfee, both from Ireland, he was the only Australian-born player to reach the major leagues until Craig Shipley in 1986. Career Quinn started his career in 1884 with the Union Association's St. Louis Maroons, which won the pennant. He was one of few players from that league to later find success in the National League. Throughout his career, Quinn was known for his defensive skills, and he led NL second basemen in fielding percentage twice. Quinn also had two stints as a big league manager, with the St. Louis Browns in 1895 and the Cleveland Spiders in 1899. Joseph Quinn (born 1993 or 1994) is a British actor. He is best known for his role as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of the Netflix series ''Stranger Things'' (2022). Quinn gained prominence through his roles in the BBC One series ''Dickensian'' (2016) and ''Howards End'' (2017), and the Sky Atlantic series ''Catherine the Great'' (2019). Joseph Quinn ( – July 5, 1887) was a New York clerk, amateur wrestler and murder victim of Danny Lyons, a co-leader of the Whyos street gang. Early life Although reportedly described as a pimp and rival Five Points thug, Quinn is described in newspaper accounts as "a respectable young man, who for nine years past has been employed at the Cotton Exchange." A well-known local athlete, he was a skilled amateur wrestler as a member of the Pastime and New York Athletic Clubs, whose career included winning the latter organization's spring competition as well as the State Championship's middleweight " catch-as-catch-can" wrestler. Joseph Andrew Quinn (June 7, 1886 – January 25, 1939) was an American lawyer, farmer, and politician. Quinn was born in Lakeville, Dakota County, Minnesota, and graduated from Central High School in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1907. He graduated from St. Paul College of Law in 1914 and was admitted to the Minnesota Bar. Quinn lived with his wife and family in Menahga, Wadena County, Minnesota. Quinn was also involved in the banking business and was a farmer. Quinn is a cop who transferred to the Homicide division after being in narcotics before season three.
