Joe McGraw
Joseph William McGraw (1874-1951) was a co-founder of the St. George Dragons rugby league club and an Australian sports administrator from the 1920s. Joe McGraw is remembered as a foundation member of the St. George Dragons District Rugby League Football Club, and was directly responsible with Allan Clark for the club's admission into the NSWRFL competition in 1921. He was their first club secretary, although he retained that role for only 12 months, until he was replaced by Reg Fusedale after a boardroom spill. He continued retaining a keen interest in the club, and ran for many positions with the St. George club and the NSWRFL over many years. McGraw was also a patron of the St. George Dragons Referees' and was a prominent figure within the St. George area junior league in the early days. Allan Clark (rugby League)
Allan Percival Clark (1881–1935) was a pioneer Rugby League administrator with the St. George Dragons and is remembered with Joe McGraw as the men behind the big push to have the St. George Club admitted into the NSWRFL in 1921. Career Allan Clark was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1881, and first came to the St. George District in 1893. Being a bachelor he was able to devote the whole of his spare time in placing his services in an honorary capacity at the disposal of all kindred bodies and public activities in the St George District for many years. He held important executive positions, and conscientiously gave of his knowledge and experience spontaneously. He is remembered as one of the stalwarts in the early days of the St. George District Rugby League Club, and fought strenuously for the recognition of St George as a first grade district club. Reg Fusedale
Reginald Douglas Fusedale (1890-1990) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1910s and 1920s. He was also a successful sports administrator. Sporting career Born Douglas Reginald Fusedale to Harry and Marion Fusedale in Sydney in December 1890, Reg Fusedale's rugby league career started at South Sydney Rabbitohs, South Sydney, where he played two seasons in 1919–1920. He then moved to the St. George District and played two seasons at St. George Dragons, St. George between 1921 and 1922, and played in the club's first ever game on 23 April 1921 . He was also a noted cricketer and played against the legendary Victor Trumper, scoring a century in same match that Trumper did at Chatswood Oval in 1913. Ramsgate, New South Wales
Ramsgate is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 16 km south of the Sydney central business district. It is part of the St George area. Divided by Rocky Point Road, part of Ramsgate to the east of Rocky Point Road is in the local government area of the Bayside Council, whilst properties to the west of Rocky Point Road are in the Georges River Council.
