Joe Gallen
Joseph Gallen (born 2 September 1972), is a former professional footballer who is assistant coach of Perth Glory. Born in England, he made seven appearances for the Republic of Ireland U21 national team. His brothers Kevin and Steve were both professional footballers. Playing career Joe Gallen played for Watford, Exeter City, Shamrock Rovers, Shrewsbury Town, Dundalk and Drogheda United and represented the Republic of Ireland national under-21 football team, before his career was cut short with a back injury at the age of 26. During his time with Shrewsbury he won the 3rd division title in 1994. He joined Shamrock Rovers with David Byrne in January 1993, also on loan from Watford, but only made three league appearances. Perth Glory Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Perth, Western Australia. It competes in the country's premier men's competition, A-League Men, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues. Founded in 1995, Perth Glory is one of three A-League clubs to survive from the now-defunct National Soccer League (NSL), playing their debut match in this competition in October 1996 for the 1996–97 season. Ray Jones (footballer, Born 1988)
Raymond Barry Bankote Jones (28 August 1988 – 25 August 2007) was an English professional footballer who played as a striker. Jones spent his professional career at Queens Park Rangers, making his debut in the Football League Championship in April 2006. His good form at the start of the following season led to his only international match, for England under-19 against the Netherlands, as well as bids for other clubs to sign him. He totalled six goals in 37 professional matches. Jones died three days before his 19th birthday, when he drove head-on into a bus in London. His club retired his shirt number of 31. An inquest into the accident ruled that had Jones survived, he would have faced charges of causing death by dangerous driving for the deaths of his two passengers. David Byrne (footballer, Born 1961)
David Stuart Byrne (born 5 March 1961) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger. Playing career Byrne began his career in non-league football, before moving to Gillingham in July 1985. He moved to Millwall on 4 August 1986 for a fee of £5,000. He joined Cambridge United on loan on 8 September 1988 and Blackburn Rovers on loan on 23 February 1989. On 16 March 1989, he joined Plymouth Argyle on a free transfer. Stephen "Steve" Gallen is a London-born Irish former association footballer and manager who is currently Charlton Athletic's Director of Football and a UEFA Pro Licence Coach. He is a former manager of Hong Kong Pegasus FC. Coaching and managerial career Queens Park Rangers He was employed for almost two decades at Queens Park Rangers, and first joined the Academy coaching setup in 1997, as the under-12s coach.
