Watters Gallery
Watters Gallery (1964–2018) was a private art gallery in Riley Street Sydney, Australia, run by Frank Watters (1934 – May 2020) with his business partners and friends Geoffrey and Alex Legge. It was influential and well-known, hosting exhibitions and works by some of the most prominent non-mainstream artists in Australia of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Tony Tuckson, James Gleeson, Richard Larter, Robert Klippel, and Garry Shead. History The gallery was opened on 18 November 1964 in Liverpool Street in Darlinghurst by former coal miner, Frank Watters. As a gay man in an era when coming out of the closet was dangerous, Watters had painted a picture titled ''He's a Queer!'', but never shown it in the gallery, keeping it turned to the wall in his bedroom instead. He painted very little after that one, because it scared him. The gallery moved in 1969 to a former pub in Riley Street, in the heart of what was then the red light district, that was built in the 1850s. I ...

The Last Battle
''The Last Battle'' is a portal fantasy novel for children by C. S. Lewis, published by The Bodley Head in 1956. It was the seventh and final novel in '' The Chronicles of Narnia'' (1950–1956). Like the other novels in the series, it was illustrated by Pauline Baynes and her work has been retained in many later editions. ''The Last Battle'' is set almost entirely in the Narnia world and the English children who participate arrive only in the middle of the narrative. The novel is set some 200 Narnian years after '' The Silver Chair'' and about 2500 years (and 49 Earth years) since the creation of the world narrated in '' The Magician's Nephew''. A false Aslan is set up in the north-western borderlands and conflict between true and false Narnians merges with that between Narnia and Calormen, whose people worship Tash. It concludes with termination of the world by Aslan, after a "last battle" that is practically lost. Macmillan US published an American edition within the cal ...

Muggletonians
The Muggletonians, named after Lodowicke Muggleton, were a small Protestant Christian movement which began in 1651 when two London tailors announced they were the last prophets foretold in the biblical Book of Revelation. The group grew out of the Ranters and in opposition to the Quakers. Muggletonian beliefs include a hostility to philosophical reason, a scriptural understanding of how the universe works and a belief that God appeared directly on Earth as Jesus Christ. A consequential belief is that God takes no notice of everyday events on Earth and will not generally intervene until it is meant to bring the world to an end. Muggletonians avoided all forms of worship or preaching, and met only for discussion and socializing. The movement was egalitarian, apolitical and pacifist, and resolutely avoided evangelism. Members attained a degree of public notoriety by cursing those who reviled their faith. This practice ceased in the mid-nineteenth century. One of the last to be cursed ...
