Joseph William Brown (born 3 April 1968 in Bradford, England) is an English footballer, who plays for Bradford Park Avenue. Career Brown signed for Bradford City as an apprentice in 2004. He made his debut for the Bantams in a Football League Trophy first-round game at Morecambe on 22 November 2005 when he came on as an 82nd-minute substitute. He scored a last-minute winner. In the second round he was again a scoring substitute but Bradford lost 2–1. His league debut came in December in a goalless draw at Scunthorpe United. He scored his one and only league goal for Bradford – again in the 90th minute – after coming on as substitute against Blackpool in March. The following season, he again scored a Football League Trophy goal. Joe Brown (March 20, 1909 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – March 14, 1985 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was an American figurative sculptor, specializing in athletes. His work was part of the sculpture event in the art competition at the 1936 Summer Olympics. Later in his career, he also worked as a playground designer. Career The son of Russian immigrants, he grew up in South Philadelphia and graduated South Philadelphia High School in 1926. A gifted athlete, he won a 1927 football scholarship to Temple University. Joseph Brown (26 September 1930 – 15 April 2020) was an English mountaineer who was regarded as an outstanding pioneer of rock climbing during the 1950s and early 1960s. Together with his early climbing partner, Don Whillans, he was one of a new breed of British post-war climbers who came from working class backgrounds in contrast to the upper class, upper and middle class professionals who had dominated the sport up to the Second World War. He became the first person to climb the third-highest mountain in the world when he was on the 1955 British Kangchenjunga expedition. Joseph Brown (26 April 1929 – 30 October 2014) was an English football player and manager. Career Playing Brown started his career with First Division Middlesbrough, where he came through from the juniors team. He joined Burnley in August 1952, but his time at the club was restricted to just six appearances because of a serious back injury. Having suffered a slipped disc in his back at the age of 17, he recovered after the operation and salvaged his playing career. He joined Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic in June 1954, where he made a total of 215 appearances and scored five goals in the league. He moved in July 1960 to play for Aldershot. Managerial Brown re-joined Burnley as a coach in 1961 and was in charge of the Burnley team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1968.
