Joe Brown (rugby League)
Joe Brown (born 14 January 1999) is an English rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the York Knights in the Betfred Championship. Background Brown was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. He was brought up in the youth system at the Bulls, making him a product of the Bradford Bulls Academy, until he signed for Wigan's academy in 2017. However he re-signed with his former club Bradford in May 2019 for the first team on an 18-month contract. Bradford Bulls 2019 - 2019 Season Brown made his debut in the 2019 RFL 1895 Cup Round 2 against Barrow. He then featured in Round 22 against York City before picking up an injury. 2020 - 2020 Season Brown featured in the pre-season friendlies against the Castleford Tigers, Leeds, Dewsbury and York City. The Sheffield Eagles are a professional rugby league club that play in the Championship (rugby league), Betfred Championship. The club play their home games at the Olympic Legacy Park (OLP) on the former site of Don Valley Stadium, their former ground. 2021 Challenge Cup
The 2021 Challenge Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2021 Betfred Challenge Cup, was the 120th edition of the Challenge Cup, the main rugby league knockout tournament in British rugby league run by the Rugby Football League (RFL). This year's competition will be contested between only the professional clubs. The competition was won by St Helens who beat Castleford 26–12 at Wembley Stadium on 17 July 2021. Leeds Rhinos were the defending champions, after defeating Salford Red Devils 17–16 in the 2020 final. However, they were eliminated in round 3, after losing 18–24 to St Helens. The Swinton Lions are a professional rugby league club based in Swinton, Greater Manchester, England, which competes in the Championship. The club has won the Championship six times and three Challenge Cups. Before 1996, the club was known simply as Swinton. History Early years The club was formed in 1866 when members of Swinton Cricket Club decided to take up "football" in the winter to keep fit.
