Job Amupanda
Job Shipululo Amupanda (born 28 August 1987 in Omaalala, Oshana Region) is a Namibian activist and politician who served as Mayor of the City of Windhoek, in office from 2 December 2020 to 1 December 2021. He is an academic at the University of Namibia before he co-founded the Affirmative Repositioning movement, a movement setup by radical youth activists of the SWAPO Party Youth League in November 2014. Early life and education Amupanda was born in northern Namibia in Omaalala in 1987. He was raised by his grandmother Theopolina Adolf whom he used to help sell merchandise as a child. Windhoek (, , ) is the capital and largest city of Namibia. It is located in central Namibia in the Khomas Highland plateau area, at around above sea level, almost exactly at the country's geographical centre. New Era (Namibia)
The ''New Era'' is a daily national newspaper owned by the government of Namibia. The newspaper is one of four daily national newspapers in the country, the others being ''The Namibian'' (English and Oshiwambo), ''Die Republikein'' (Afrikaans) and '' Allgemeine Zeitung'' (German). ''New Era'' was created by the ''New Era Publications Corporation Act of 1992''. According to Ullamaija Kivikuru, it copied the format of ''The Namibian'' in order to establish credibility. Sisa Namandje
Sisa Namandje (born 1972) is a Namibian lawyer prominent for representing high profile namibian figures. He has represented all three Namibian presidents Sam Nujoma, Hifikepunye Pohamba and Hage Geingob. Early life and education Namandje was born on 15 December 1972 at Onyaanya in the Oshikoto Region of northern Namibia. He spent his primary school years in northern Namibia before the family moved to Zambian exile, where he attended school at SWAPO health education centre in Nyango. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare is a Namibian politician and academic at the University of Namibia who served as the Secretary General of the SWAPO Party Youth League from 2007 to 2015. George Hidipo Hamba Kambala (born 9 May 1992) is a Namibian youth activist who along with Job Amupanda and Dimbulukeni Nauyoma co-founded a radical youth movement known as the Affirmative Repositioning in 2014 to advocate for land among Namibian youths. He also served in the SWAPO Youth League before his subsequent expulsion for his involvement in the youth movement. Personal life Kambala was born and grew up in Windhoek's Katutura where he attended Martti Ahtisaari Primary School. He was part of the SWAPO Party Youth League leaders who were suspended and expelled from the party for occupying a plot in an upmarket Windhoek suburb. Dimbulukeni 'Dee' Nauyoma (born 1992) is a Namibian youth activist who along with Job Amupanda and George Kambala co-founded a radical youth movement known as the Affirmative Repositioning in November 2014. Prior to the formation of the Affirmative Repositioning, he served in the SWAPO Youth League until 2014. Hifikepunye Lucas Pohamba (born 18 August 1936) is a Namibian politician who served as the second president of Namibia from 21 March 2005 to 21 March 2015. He won the 2004 presidential election overwhelmingly as the candidate of SWAPO, and was reelected in 2009. Pohamba was the president of SWAPO from 2007 until his retirement in 2015.
