Joar Olsen
Joar Ervin Olsen (1 February 1924 – 14 February 1945) was a Norwegian resistance member who was killed during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. He was born in Bærum as the son of parents from Oslo and Hammerfest. He worked in Bærum as a car mechanic. During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany he joined Milorg in 1943. He was a part of a group called ''Barlindgjengen'' (the "Yew Gang"), originally consisting of men from Jar in Bærum. In May 1944 the gang was summoned for sabotage training under the leadership of Per Røed; the camp was in Bærumsmarka. The gang became incorporated into District 13's sabotage squad Aks 13000, created in 1944. Olsen became an important aide-de-camp for the Aks 13000 Staff. Olsen was active in late 1944. The Norwegian resistance (Norwegian: ''Motstandsbevegelsen'') to the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany began after Operation Weserübung in 1940 and ended in 1945. Hird (Nazi)
''Hirden'' (the ''hird'') was a uniformed paramilitary organisation during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, modelled the same way as the German Sturmabteilungen. Overview Vidkun Quisling's fascist party Nasjonal Samling frequently used words and symbols from the old Norse Viking era. During the Second World War, membership was compulsory for all Nasjonal Samling members. In total, about 8,500 Norwegians were members of ''Hirden'' during the war. The organisation was dissolved after the liberation, and many of its former members were prosecuted and convicted for treason and collaboration. Statspolitiet
(; shortened STAPO) was from 1941 to 1945 a National Socialist armed police force that consisted of Norwegian officials after Nazi German pattern. It operated independently of the ordinary Norwegian police. The force was established on 1 June 1941 during the German occupation of Norway. The initiative for the force came from the later chief Karl Marthinsen and other prominent members of the collaborationist party Nasjonal Samling. At its peak, in 1944 there were 350 employees in Statspolitiet, in addition to a larger number who collaborated or rendered services for them. Stabekk
Stabekk is a suburban centre in the municipality of Bærum, Norway, west of Oslo. It is predominantly a residential area, with many residents commuting to Oslo. As of 2005 the population was 6,261. Adolf Bogstad
Adolf Bogstad (22 April 1920 – 13 February 1945) was a Norwegian resistance member who was killed during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. He was born and lived in Østre Aker. During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, he became involved in Hjemmefronten in 1940 and Milorg in 1941. He was involved in weapons transport and the illegal press, and became the leader of District 13. His last action was ''Aksjon smør'', in which Milorg men stole foodstuffs from two warehouses, one in the street ''Tollbugata'' belonging to German forces, and one in the street ''Skippergata'' belonging to Arbeidstjenesten. The foodstuffs were distributed to Milorg men who hid in the forests surrounding Oslo. Arvid Hansen
Arvid Hansen (1 March 1916 – 13 February 1945) was a Norwegian resistance member who was executed during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. He was born in Oslo as the son of Harald and Helga Marie Hansen. He worked in Oslo as an electrician. When Norway was invaded by Germany in 1940, he became involved in the subsequent fighting. He later involved himself in the illegal press, and later in Milorg. He conducted several sabotage missions as a part of the group D.B. He was also a part of the group Aks 13000.
