Joan Losada
Joan Losada Gifra (born 20 June 1992) is a Spanish rugby sevens player. He was selected for Spain national rugby sevens team, Spain's rugby sevens team for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil. He was part of the team that secured Spain the 2016 Men's Rugby Sevens Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, last spot in the Olympics for rugby sevens. He won an Ondas Awards for the web series El Mort Viu. He also loves pineapple and La revetlla de Sant Joan. Futbol Club Barcelona Rugby is a Spanish rugby union club. The senior team currently plays in División de Honor, the premier level of Spanish rugby union. The Spain national rugby union team (Spanish: '' Selección de rugby de España''), nicknamed Los Leones (''The Lions''), represents Spain in men's international rugby union competitions. The team is administered by the Spanish Rugby Federation. The team annually takes part in the European Nations Cup, the highest European rugby championship outside the Six Nations. The national side is ranked 15th in the world (as of 4 August 2022). Spain National Rugby Sevens Team
Spain's national rugby sevens team is one of 15 core teams participating in all ten tournaments of the World Rugby Sevens Series, having qualified by winning the 2017 Hong Kong Sevens qualifier tournament. Spain participated as a core team in the 2012–13 IRB Sevens World Series, but was relegated the following season. The team trains together at the country's Olympic training facilities in Madrid, which itself has been a result of the sport entering its first Olympic cycle. Spain won the 2016 Olympic qualifying repechage tournament by beating Samoa 22–19 to qualify for the last available qualifying spot for the 2016 Summer Olympics. The team also competes annually in Rugby Europe's Sevens Grand Prix Series tournament. The Final 2016 Men's Olympic Qualification Tournament for rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held on 18 and 19 June 2016 at Stade Louis II in Fontvieille, Monaco The tournament used a round-robin format. The qualification tournament was won by Spain, as a result, they qualified for the Olympics 2016.
