Joachim Von Seewitz
Joachim von Seewitz (full name: Joachim Wilhelm Friedrich Carl Oscar von Brüsewitz, born 15 August 1891 in Karlsruhe; died 23 February 1966 in Hückeswagen) was a German podium dancer. Biography His father was the captain of the 1st Badische Leib Grenadier Regiment No 109, Hans von Brüsewitz (1853–1919), who later became lieutenant general and his wife Emmy (''née'' Luchtenberg) (1864–1948); he married with one of the granddaughters of the Hückeswagen cloth manufacturer Justus Friedrich Wilhelm Bockhacker (1797–1872). Joachim began to dance in Munich in 1913 and performed under the name of Joachim von Seewitz. Hückeswagen
Hückeswagen ) is a town in the north of Oberbergischen Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is part of the governmental district of Cologne. Geography Hückeswagen is situated on the river Wupper. Two dams, Bevertal dam and Wuppertal dam, are near the city. Hückeswagen's location in the narrow valley and well as the castle mountain are notable. It is located approximately 40 km away from Cologne. Justus Friedrich Wilhelm Bockhacker
Justus (died on 10 November between 627 and 631) was the fourth Archbishop of Canterbury. He was sent from Italy to England by Pope Gregory the Great, on a mission to Christianize the Anglo-Saxons from their native paganism, probably arriving with the second group of missionaries despatched in 601. Justus became the first Bishop of Rochester in 604, and attended a church council in Paris in 614. Following the death of King Æthelberht of Kent in 616, Justus was forced to flee to Gaul, but was reinstated in his diocese the following year. In 624 Justus became Archbishop of Canterbury, overseeing the despatch of missionaries to Northumbria. After his death he was revered as a saint, and had a shrine in St Augustine's Abbey, Canterbury. Frank-Manuel Peter (born 1959) is a German dance researcher and historian. Life and work Born in Berlin, Peter studied theatre, history of art, German studies and library science at the Free University of Berlin and graduated as a master's degree. In 2004, he was promoted to Ph.D. with a thesis on Dore Hoyer. Peter has been director of the Deutsches Tanzarchiv Köln since 1986. He has been a lecturer since 2005 and an honorary professor for the dance studies programme at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln since 2012. Richard Strauss
Richard Georg Strauss (; 11 June 1864 – 8 September 1949) was a German composer, conductor, pianist, and violinist. Considered a leading composer of the late Romantic and early modern eras, he has been described as a successor of Richard Wagner and Franz Liszt. Along with Gustav Mahler, he represents the late flowering of German Romanticism, in which pioneering subtleties of orchestration are combined with an advanced harmonic style. Lo Hesse (born 6 August 1889 Berlin, died 1983?) was a German dancer. Biography She was the dancing partner of Joachim von Seewitz and was employed at the Staatsoper Berlin. In 1919 she refused a commitment at the Vienna State Opera and went on tour to South America. Her biographical legacy is kept in the German Dance Archive Cologne. She also worked as an actress and a model for Ernst Stern. Vienna State Opera
The Vienna State Opera (, ) is an opera house and opera company based in Vienna, Austria. The 1,709-seat Renaissance Revival venue was the first major building on the Vienna Ring Road. It was built from 1861 to 1869 following plans by August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van der Nüll, and designs by Josef Hlávka. The opera house was inaugurated as the "Vienna Court Opera" (''Wiener Hofoper'') in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. It became known by its current name after the establishment of the First Austrian Republic in 1921.
