Jo Weston
Joanna Weston (born 14 February 1994) is an Australian netball player for the Australian Diamonds and Melbourne Vixens in the Suncorp Super Netball league. She was part of the Diamonds side that won silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Weston has been a member of the Diamonds squad since her debut at the Constellation Cup in 2015. She was also in the Australian team at the 2019 Netball World Cup, finishing runners up to New Zealand. Weston was named ''Goal Defender of the Year'' and ''Player of the Finals'' in the 2017 Suncorp Super Netball season. She was in the Vixens side that won the premiership in the 2022 season. Weston grew up in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and attended Glen Iris Primary and Sacré Cœur School. She is currently studying a Master of Communication at Deakin University. Corowa
Corowa is a town in the state of New South Wales in Australia. It is on the bank of the Murray River, the border between New South Wales and Victoria, opposite the Victorian town of Wahgunyah. It is the largest town in the Federation Council and was the administrative centre of the former Corowa Shire. The name could have derived from an Aboriginal word referring to the curra pine which yielded gum used by Aboriginal people to fasten the heads of spears to the shafts. Another translation is "rocky river". There are two bridges over the Murray to Wahgunyah in Victoria: the heritage-listed John Foord Bridge and the Federation Bridge (opened on 2 April 2005). 2022 Suncorp Super Netball Season
The 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season was the sixth season of the premier Netball in Australia, netball league in Australia. The season commenced on 26 March and concluded with the Grand Final on 3 July. The defending premiers were the New South Wales Swifts, who narrowly missed out on the finals series. The West Coast Fever won their very first premiership in the club's history, after defeating the Melbourne Vixens 70–59 in the Grand Final. The Australian Netball Players’ Association (ANPA) is an organisation that represents the professional netball players of Australia. The Association's aim is to act as a collective voice to promote the interests and protect the welfare of Australia's elite netballers, as well as provide education and support to those players.
