Jo Russell
Jo Russell is an English radio presenter currently working for Greatest Hits Radio. Biography Russell worked for an insurance company and Coca-Cola among other roles before beginning her broadcasting career at York Hospital Radio. She later moved on to hosting weekend shows at Stray FM in Harrogate and a full-time presenting role at York's Minster FM. From 1998 onwards, Russell spent over ten years co-presenting Trent FM's award-winning breakfast show with Andy "Twiggy" Twigge, who had previously worked alongside her at sister station Ram FM in Derby. During this time, Russell won various awards for her work including four Sony Awards, the 2008 Arqiva Commercial Radio Presenter of the Year and Best Breakfast Show at the 2007 European Radio Awards. Greatest Hits Radio is a classic hits radio network in the United Kingdom, owned and operated by Bauer. Overview The network launched on 5 January 2015 as the "Bauer City 2 Network", and rebranded on 7 January 2019 due to the success of Radio City 2 in Liverpool on FM. Free Radio is a regional group of local radio stations in the West Midlands, owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Hits Radio network. Overview Free Radio launched on Monday 26 March 2012 as a result of the rebranding of four FM stations – BRMB, Beacon, Mercia and Wyvern. On Tuesday 4 September 2012, a secondary AM station broadcasting 1980s chart music, Free 80s, was launched. The four FM stations are now subsumed into the Hits Radio network whilst the AM transmitters, which latterly carried Absolute Classic Rock, ceased broadcasting in April and June 2020. Amy Voce
Amy Voce is an English broadcaster, formerly of Gem 106 and currently broadcasting on Virgin Radio UK and its sister station Virgin Radio Chilled. Voce is best known for her on-air work with Sam Pinkham, presenting the ''Sam and Amy'' breakfast show on Gem 106 (formerly Heart East Midlands) for eleven years. The programme won two Gold Radio Academy Awards (2013 & 2014), Gold at the 2015 Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards and Silver at the 2016 ARIAS.
