Zubří (Vsetín District)
Zubří () is a town in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,500 inhabitants. Etymology The name is derived from ''zubr'', i.e. European bison. They lived here at the time when Zubří was founded. Geography Zubří is located in the valley of the Rožnovská Bečva river. The northern part of the municipal territory lies in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids mountain range. The southern part with the built-up area lies in the Rožnov Furrow. The northern municipal border runs over mountain peaks of Kamenárka (), Dlouhá (859 m), Krátká (767 m), and Hodorf (766 m). History Zubří was founded in 1310 by the lords of Krásno on the site of a hunters' settlement. It was one of the first and largest villages of the Rožnov estate. Volleyball Players At The 1968 Summer Olympics
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court.
