Jimmy Zambrano
Jimmy Zambrano (born November 2, 1967 in Guamal, Magdalena), is a Colombian accordion player. Born in Colombia, he left at an early age for Caracas, Venezuela, where he studied music and specialized in piano. There, he was called by Los Melódicos of Renato Capriles to record a vallenato song by Poncho Zuleta titled "Luzmila," which became the first song and recording by this artist. In 1993, he recorded an album called "Vallenato y más" with the group "Los Clásicos," alongside Aníbal Caicedo and Jair Castañeda. In 1995, Omar Geles discovered his talent in a tour in Venezuela and invited him to belong to Los Diablitos as keyboard player, with whom he performed until 1999. During his time with Los Diablitos, he produced and arranged various music genres and formed a vallenato ensemble known as "Los Emigrantes," with Aníbal Caidedo. Jorge Celedón
Jorge Celedón also known as Jorgito Celedón is a Colombian musician and singer of vallenato music. Celedón was one of the backup singers for the vallenato group Binomio de Oro de America who joined after the death of Rafael Orozco Maestre. In 1998, he decided to create his own vallenato group and teamed with accordionist Jimmy Zambrano. Early life Celedon grew up singing vallenato making him a very good singer. His first performance was with his uncle Daniel Celedón, in his own group called Doble Poder (Double Power). This helped him to become a great star of vallenato by the time he was an adult. Vallenato () or "Szlager" in Wayuu language (from the German "Schlager"), is a popular folk music genre from Colombia. It primarily comes from its Caribbean Region (Colombia), Caribbean region. ''Vallenato'' literally means "born in the valley". The valley influencing this name is located between the ''Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (St. Martha Snow Mountain Range)'' and the ''Serranía de Perijá, Serranía de Perijá (Periha Mountain Range)'' in north-east Colombia. Binomio De Oro De América
Binomio de Oro de América is a Colombian Vallenato group that was founded by lead singer Rafael Orozco and accordionist Israel Romero in the Caribbean Region of Colombia on June 16, 1976. The group grew up in popularity in the 1980s and 1990s and developed mainstream popularity in Venezuela, especially in the city of Maracaibo and in Mexico, mainly in the city of Monterrey. Early years The group was officially created by vallenato singer Rafael Orozco and accordionist Israel Romero on June 16, 1976. Both Orozco and Romero were students attending University classes in the city of Barranquilla. Romero had just recorded a Long Play with singer Emilio Oviedo, with strong influences from singer Jorge Oñate, the Lopez brothers, accordionist Colacho Mendoza and the Los Hermanos Zuleta who were the mainstream vallenato groups at the moment. Los Melódicos
Los Melódicos is a Latin music, Latin dance band from Venezuela which plays a mix of tropical rhythms. The orchestra was assembled by Billo Frómeta in Caracas in July 1958. They made their debut through a local radio station on July 15, 1960. Frómeta sold the orchestra to Renato Capriles, who was acting as an owner as Billo was suspended by the Venezuelans musicians union. Renato took over in 1960 and Los Melódicos has been directed by him since then. The orchestra was voted by a Caracas journalist association as the best Venezuelan orchestra that year. Since its establishment, Los Melódicos has released more than 100 original albums and has toured extensively in Venezuela, Colombia, and in the top Hispanic circles of New York City, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, being awarded in Venezuela 139 times, as well in Colombia (9) and United States (5).
