James Anthony Willis (born 12 July 1968) is an English former professional association football, footballer and manager who played as a defender (association football), defender from 1986 to 1997. He played in the Premier League for Leicester City F.C., Leicester City and in the English Football League, Football League for Halifax Town A.F.C., Halifax Town, Stockport County F.C., Stockport County, Darlington F.C., Darlington and Bradford City A.F.C., Bradford City. During his career he scored goals in all of the top five divisions of the English football league system, a record held by Willis alone until 2004, when it was equalled by then Liverpool F.C., Liverpool defender Steve Finnan. The Football League Fourth Division was the fourth-highest division in the English football league system from the 1958–59 season until the creation of the Premier League prior to the 1992–93 season. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968.
