Jim Vickerman
James Murray Vickerman (May 1, 1931 – January 19, 2021) was an American politician from Minnesota who served as Minnesota Senate, Minnesota State Senator, first elected in 1986 in the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party's "firestorm" that swept southwestern Minnesota during the height of the 1980s Midwestern farm crisis. In that election, he unseated incumbent Senator Doran Isackson, winning by a substantial margin. He was re-elected in 1990, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2002 and 2006. On February 22, 2010, he announced that he would not seek an eighth term, noting that he was doing so "with the satisfaction that when it's done right, our government can and does serve people." His term officially ended on January 3, 2011. Doran L. Isackson (March 26, 1938 – September 28, 1989) was a Republican Party of Minnesota, Republican politician from Minnesota and a Minnesota Senate, Minnesota State Senator. Elected in 1982, Isackson served one term from 1983 to 1987. Redwood County, Minnesota
Redwood County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census the population was 15,425. Its county seat is Redwood Falls, along the Redwood River near its confluence with the Minnesota River. The Lower Sioux Indian Reservation (also known as the Mdewakankton Tribal Reservation) is entirely within the county, along the southern bank of the Minnesota River in Paxton and Sherman townships. Bill Weber (politician)
William Weber (born April 3, 1956) is an American politician and Republican member of the Minnesota Senate. He represents District 21, which includes all or parts of Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock Counties in the southwestern part of the state. Early life, education, and family Weber was raised in Rock County, Minnesota. He graduated from Luverne High School and attended Nettleton Business College, where he graduated with a degree in professional accounting. He served on the Luverne City Council from 1984 to 1992, and was the city's mayor from 1992 to 2001. A licensed real estate broker, he and his wife, Barb, continue to reside in Luverne, and have two adult children. Timothy James Pawlenty (; born November 27, 1960) is an American attorney, businessman, and politician who served as the 39th governor of Minnesota from 2003 to 2011.
