Haidian District () is a district of the municipality of Beijing. It is mostly situated in northwestern Beijing, but also to a lesser extent in the west, where it has borders with Xicheng District and Fengtai District. Chaoyang District, Beijing
Chaoyang District () is a core district of Beijing. It borders the districts of Shunyi to the northeast, Tongzhou to the east and southeast, Daxing to the south, Fengtai to the southwest, Dongcheng, Xicheng and Haidian to the west, and Changping to the northwest. Chaoyang is home to the majority of Beijing's many foreign embassies, the well-known Sanlitun bar street, as well as Beijing's growing central business district. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. Line 10 of the Beijing Subway () is the second loop line in Beijing's rapid transit network as well as the longest and most widely used line. Madian Mosque
The Madian Mosque () is a mosque in Madian, Haidian District, Beijing, China. History The mosque was constructed during the reign of Kangxi Emperor of Qing Dynasty due to the shear population of Hui people in the region. During the Cultural Revolution, the mosque was turned into a factory and the prayer room became a workshop. In 1982, the factory moved out and the building functioned as a mosque again. Architecture The mosque has a capacity of 200 worshipers and spans over an area of 3,800 m2. It was constructed with the Chinese architecture style of building, with main building which consists of the prayer hall, south lecture hall, north lecture hall and other buildings.
