Jewish Policy Center
The Jewish Policy Center, founded in 1985 and located in Washington, D.C. is a 501c(3) non-profit think tank providing perspectives and analysis by leading scholars and academics on fields such as "American defense capability, U.S.-Israel relations", and "advocates for small government, low taxes, free trade, fiscal responsibility, energy security, as well as free speech and intellectual diversity". According to Matthew Brooks, Executive Director of both the Jewish Policy Center and the Republican Jewish Coalition, the Policy Center is nonpartisan and focuses solely on issues, both foreign and domestic. Center fellows include Norman Podhoretz, Michael Medved and Ruth Wisse. The Center has sponsored many forums around the country billed as "Liberal Roots, Conservative Solutions". The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), formerly the National Jewish Coalition, founded in 1985, is a political group in the United States that supports Jewish Republicans. The organization has more than 47 chapters throughout the United States. Purpose The official mission statement of the RJC is to foster and enhance ties between the American Jewish community and Republican decision makers in the United States. According to its website, the RJC "works to sensitize Republican leadership in government and the party to the concerns and issues of the Jewish community, while articulating and advocating Republican ideas and policies within the Jewish community." His talk show, ''The Michael Medved Show'', is syndicated from his home station KTTH in Seattle. It is syndicated via Genesis Communications Network. Ruth Wisse (surname pronounced ) (Yiddish: רות װײַס; Roskies; born May 13, 1936) is a Canadian academic and is the Martin Peretz Professor of Yiddish Literature and Professor of Comparative Literature at Harvard University ''emerita''. She is a noted scholar of Yiddish literature and of Jewish history and culture.
