Shizuka Kudo
, known by her maiden name , is a Japanese singer, actress and former idol, born in Hamura, Tokyo, Japan. She was a member of Onyanko Club between May 1986 and September 1987 and went on to have a successful solo career with 11 number-one hits. Biography Kudo began her singing career at the age of 14 as a member of three-piece pop unit Seventeen Club consisted of runners-up from the 1984 Miss Seventeen Contest organized by Japanese teen magazine ''Seventeen'', which Shueisha publishes. They had two singles released by CBS/Sony Records in 1985. Their first single "Su Ki Futari Tomo!" was released on 21 January 1985, and was used in television advertisements for snack food products "Suzuki Kun" and "Sato Kun" manufactured and sold by S&B Foods. The second single "Baajin Kuraishisu (Virgin Crisis)" was released on 25 August 1985. Its lyrics were written by Sunplaza Nakano-kun, who was a lead singer of Japanese rock band Bakufu Slump. Extasy Records is a Japanese record label founded in April 1986 by Yoshiki Hayashi, co-founder of the heavy metal band X Japan. The label's first release was X's 1986 single "Orgasm". Over the next few years, the label signed several then-little-known bands, among them future million-selling Glay and Luna Sea. Extasy along with Free-Will are credited with helping to spread the visual kei movement. The label also hosted a series of events to promote the groups, called Extasy Summits, which would also feature formerly signed bands that had already moved on to a major label. Shizuka Kudo Best
is the tenth compilation album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on December 5, 2001, through Pony Canyon. The album is part of the label's greatest hits series ''My Kore!ction''. It was later released digitally on July 1, 2012. An abridged version of the compilation, as per the ''My Kore!Lite'' series, was released on May 19, 2010. All sixteen songs were remastered digitally for the album. The ''My Kore!Lite'' edition was re-released on June 15, 2016 in Ultimate HQCD (UHQCD) format. Commercial performance ''Shizuka Kudo Best'' did not chart in the top 300 of the Oricon Albums Chart. However, the album has done well digitally since being released for download in 2012; it ranked as high as number 2 on the Recochoku Weekly Albums chart. is a song recorded by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo for her fifteenth studio album, ''Jewelry Box''. It was released as the album's leading single by Extasy Japan on November 8, 2000. It served as the theme song to the tanpatsu dramas aired between October 2000 and 2001 on AX's ''Kayō Suspense Gekijō'' time slot. "Shinku no Hana" is Kudo's first single to be released in 12 cm CD single format since "Again". Background and composition "Shinku no Hana" is Kudo's first single released through the label Extasy Japan. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016.
