The former Jesuit Church (''Église des Jésuites'') is the parish church '' Sainte-Trinité-et- Saint-Georges'' ( Alsatian: ''Sànkt-Georg- und Dreifàltigkeitskirich'') which is the main Roman Catholic sanctuary of Molsheim, France, and the principal 17th-century church building in the Rhine Valley. The church was built between 1615 and 1617 by the German architect Christoph Wamser, and consecrated on 26 August 1618. Molsheim's Jesuit church is considered one of the foremost examples of Gothic Survival architecture or, as it is called in German, :de:Nachgotik (posterior Gothic). It is listed as a ''Monument historique'' since 1939 by the French Ministry of Culture. Molsheim's Jesuit College was founded in 1580 and dissolved in 1765. Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church ( uk, Гарнізонна церква святих апостолів Петра і Павла)(1610-1630) (known as the Jesuit Church) is an historic church in Lviv, Ukraine. The church was built by the Society of Jesus in the baroque style at the beginning of the 17th century. It was closed by the Soviet Government in 1946 and used as a warehouse and book depository for several decades. In 2010, the church was turned over to the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, which restored the church and re-consecrated it in 2011. The Jesuit Church ( pl, Kościół Jezuitów), also known as Church of the Gracious Mother of God (''Kościół Matki Bożej Łaskawej''), is an ornate church within the Old Town precinct in Warsaw, Poland. The temple stands on , adjacent to St John's Cathedral, and is one of the most notable mannerist-style churches in Warsaw. History The Jesuit Church was founded by King Sigismund III Vasa and '' Podkomorzy'' Andrzej Bobola (the Old) at Piotr Skarga's initiative, in 1609, for the Jesuits. The main building was constructed between 1609 and 1626 in the Polish Mannerist style by Jan Frankiewicz. In 1627 the church was encompassed with three chapels, and in 1635 Urszula Meyerin, a great supporter of the Society of Jesus, was buried within. Meyerin funded a silver tabernacle for the church. The Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús (Church of the Society of Jesus) is a historic Jesuit church in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, in Cusco Region, Peru. It is situated in the Plaza de Armas de Cusco, the city center. It is built on an Inca palace. It is one of the best examples of Spanish Baroque architecture in Peru. The Church of the Circumcision of Our Lord ( mt, Knisja taċ-Ċirkonċiżjoni tal-Mulej), commonly known as the Jesuits' church ( mt, Knisja tal-Ġiżwiti), is one of the oldest churches in Valletta, Malta, and one of the largest in the diocese. It was originally built between 1593 and 1609 by the Jesuit order, and it is located adjacent to the Old University Building, which originally housed a Jesuit college known as the ''Collegium Melitense''. The Jesuit Church (german: Jesuitenkirche), also known as the University Church (german: Universitätskirche), is a two-floor, double-tower church in Vienna, Austria. Influenced by early Baroque principles, the church was remodeled by Andrea Pozzo between 1703 and 1705. Jesuit Church, Mannheim
The Mannheim Jesuit Church is a Catholic church of historic and artistic importance in Mannheim, Germany. Church construction was begun in 1733 and completed in 1760. It was consecrated to St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier. During the Second World War, the church suffered severe damage from air attacks; after the war it was rebuilt in its historical style using original parts. The church displays many Baroque features in its exterior and interior. The exterior includes a twin towered facade, statues of the four cardinal virtues, and a 75 m high dome. The interior includes marble pilasters, a dome decorated with scenes from the life of the order's founder, and several organs. The most important sculpture is the 1747 "Crowned Silver Madonna." The Mannheim Baroque bell was cast in 1754, and recast in 1956 into five bells. In 1975 another two bells were cast. The bells are now distributed between the exterior two towers.
