Jesse Pellot-Rosa
Jesse Pellot-Rosa (born July 4, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player. College career He went to George Wythe High School and college at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) (2003-2007). Professional career After going undrafted at the 2007 NBA draft, Pellot-Rosa has been active with different teams in Argentina's Liga Nacional de Básquet, Puerto Rico's Baloncesto Superior Nacional, and other European leagues. In 2009, he won both the BSN Most Improved Player and the BSN Most Valuable Player Award. He was also named as part of the league All-Star Team. In May 2017, Úrvalsdeild karla club Þór Þorlákshöfn announced it had signed Pellot-Rosa for the upcoming 2017–18 season. On October 1, he helped Þór win the Icelandic Supercup by defeating the defending national champions KR 90-86. In the game he had 37 points and 11 rebounds. The Basketball Tournament
The Basketball Tournament (TBT) is an open-application, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States. The 2022 edition features 64 teams with a $1 million winner-take-all prize, broadcast by ESPN. TBT was founded in 2014 by Jonathan Mugar. Format Teams in TBT are arranged by the general manager, sometimes based on which college basketball program the players competed for. The tournament has had as many as 97 teams, in 2015, and as few as 24 teams, in 2020. Since 2016, the tournament has most often used a 64-team field. In 2019, the 64 teams were divided into eight regions, with each regional winner advancing to the championship venue. In 2020, the tournament field was reduced to 24 teams with all games played at a single venue, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. The KR men's basketball team, commonly known as KR or KR Basket, is a professional basketball club based in Reykjavík, Iceland. It is the men's basketball department of Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur (English: Reykjavík Football Club) multi-sport club. The 2017–18 Úrvalsdeild karla was the 67th season of the Úrvalsdeild, the top tier men's basketball league in Iceland. The season started on October 5, 2017 and ended on April 28, 2018. KR won its fifth title in a row by defeating Tindastóll 3–1 in the Finals. Competition format The participating teams first played a conventional round-robin schedule with every team playing each opponent once home and once away for a total of 22 games.
