Karl Jesper Karlsson (born 25 July 1998) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Eredivisie club AZ and the Sweden national team. Club career Early career Karlsson started playing in IF Böljan from the age of four. At the age of 14, he received his first-team debut for the club in Division 4. Before the 2015 season, he moved to Falkenbergs FF, and he was offered a first-team contract in the autumn. In November 2015, Karlsson signed a first team contract that extends over the season 2018 with Falkenberg FF. Before he signed the contract, he had also served and trained with English Brighton & Hove Albion. The Eredivisie Player of the Month is an association football award that recognises the best adjudged Eredivisie player each month of the season. The Eredivisie Player of the Month award is based on statistics ( StatsPerform) and votes from football fans, cast via the KPN Man of the Match vote (ESPN). Nationalarenan, currently known as Friends Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a retractable roof multi-purpose stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. The 2020 Allsvenskan, part of the 2020 Swedish football season, was the 96th season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. A total of 16 teams participated. Djurgårdens IF were the defending champions after winning the title in the previous season. The 2020 Allsvenskan season was scheduled to begin on 4 April and end on 8 November 2020 (not including play-off matches), but due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden the opening games of the season were delayed. On 4 June 2020, the Swedish government and the Public Health Agency of Sweden announced that the travel restrictions within Sweden were lifted.
