Jes (musician)
Jes Brieden (born May 10, 1974), known simply as Jes (stylized as JES), is an American singer, songwriter, producer, composer, and DJ from New York. She is a co-founder of the US dance band Motorcycle, who released the world-famous song "As the Rush Comes" in 2003. Early life Jes Brieden, born and raised in New York City, studied art and singing in an art school. She first began experimenting with music production at her friends' studios. By age 16 she made her first vocal recordings as a reference vocalist, and was also working as a backup singer for several major recording labels. After Jes answered an ad in the newspaper called ''The Village Voice'' when she was still a teenager, she recorded her first song. At the time, she sang in various bands. Jes Bertelsen
Jes Bertelsen (born March 27, 1946), Dr. phil. in History of ideas, is a Danish spiritual teacher and author. Since 1982 he has been the leader of Vækstcenteret (i.e. "The Growth Center"), which he and his wife at the time, Hanne Kizach, founded in Norre-Snede Municipality, Denmark. His teachings are based on an experiential investigation of the nature of consciousness, using comparative analysis of Eastern and Western spiritual teachings and consciousness practices on a foundation of modern psychological, philosophical and scientific approaches. He teaches in Danish. A number of his books have been translated into German. Academic background Bertelsen studied History of Ideas ("Idehistorie") at Aarhus University, Denmark with founder of this interdisciplinary study, Danish philosopher Professor Johannes Sløk. Jes Bundsen
Jes Bundsen (16 September 1766 – 22 September 1829) was a Danish architectural and landscape painter and etcher. Life Bundsen was born in Assens in 1766. He attended the Academy of Copenhagen in 1786, and then studied in Dresden, after which he became a teacher of drawing and a painter in Hamburg and Altona. He died at the latter town in 1829. He chiefly painted views in the vicinity of these places, as well as interiors of churches. Jes Høgh
Jes Høgh (; born 7 May 1966) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He played 57 matches and scored 1 goal for the Denmark national team, and Høgh represented Denmark at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, as well as the UEFA Euro 1996 and UEFA Euro 2000 tournaments. He was a part of the Denmark team that won the 1995 King Fahd Cup. Biography Born in Aalborg, Høgh began his career in Aalborg Chang. In 1987, he moved to crosstown club AaB in the top-flight Danish 1st Division.
