Jerry Phele (born 1 July 1956) is a South African Sotho born actor who is most known for acting on Emzini Wezinsizwa as Mofokeng. He has also starred on other notable TV series such as Skwizas and The Throne. The Sotho () people, also known as the Basuto or Basotho (), are a Bantu nation native to southern Africa. ''Emzini Wezinsizwa'' is a sitcom that was broadcast on SABC1 in South Africa between 1994 and 2004. It starred Roland Mqwebu, Jabulani Nkosi, Jerry Phele, Shadrack Ngema and Vusi Thanda. Plot The sitcom is about the antics of five adult males who move to a Johannesburg hostel compound to earn a living. They live in Room 8 - the most controversial and popular room of the hostel - and always find themselves on the wrong side of the hostel's authorities. The show ended in August 2003 after three starring actors Roland Mqwebu, Jabulani Nkosi and Jerry Phele were fired for high salary demands and being "rebellious" Vusi Thanda and Shadrack Ngema were only actors to reprise their roles as Tshawe and Magubane . African Content Movement
The African Content Movement (ACM) is a South African political party founded in December 2018 by former SABC acting Chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng. History At the party launch, Motsoeneng claimed he would become president, that the country would produce 90% of its requirements, that the economy shall be in the hands of the people, make company workers shareholders, force foreign companies to leave the country and reduce social grants. The party currently has two seats in Gauteng municipalities after local councillors from the Randfontein People's Party joined the ACM. General elections were held in South Africa on 8 May 2019 to elect a new President, National Assembly and provincial legislatures in each province. These were the sixth elections held since the end of apartheid in 1994 and determined who would become the next President of South Africa. Incumbent President Cyril Ramaphosa led the ruling African National Congress, with the party attempting to retain its majority status and secure Ramaphosa a full term in office as president; his predecessor, Jacob Zuma, resigned from office on 14 February 2018.
