This Will Destroy You (abbreviated as TWDY) is an American post-rock band from San Marcos, Texas, formed in 2004. They typically compose lengthy atmospheric instrumental pieces, featuring layers of effects-laden guitar and a heavy usage of dynamics. Their fourth album ''Another Language'', released in 2014, entered the ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Album Chart at number 7. Fun Fun Fun Fest
Fun Fun Fun Fest (often abbreviated as "FFF" or "F3F") was an annual music and comedy festival held in Austin, Texas, United States. The festival was the only genre based festival in the United States, featuring stages that focused specifically on hip-hop / electronica, indie rock, punk / metal, and comedy. Started in 2006, the festival focused on a combination of discovering emerging talent and putting together rarely seen or anticipated reunion performances. Being based in Austin (The Live Music Capital of the World), FFF had the unique opportunity to work with newer performers that had yet to experience the national stage. John Congleton
John Congleton is an American Grammy Award-winning record producer, engineer, mixer, writer and musician. In addition to his production work, Congleton has fronted the alternative rock band the Paper Chase, and writes music for a newer project entitled the Nighty Nite. He has also written music for various other projects, including MTV's '' Jackass'', the Discovery Channel, '' Friday Night Lights'', ''Evil Lives Here'', and several Halloween sound effects/music CDs. The vinyl version of the album was pressed on red, blue and white vinyl and contains a quote from the television series Deadwood (TV series), Deadwood ("I may have fucked my life up flatter than hammered shit, but I stand before you today beholden to no human cocksucker") etched around the center label. ''Young Mountain'' is the debut studio album by the American band This Will Destroy You. It was originally self-recorded and self-released in 2005, and was intended to be a demo to be sold after local shows. Although it was then only available as a CD-R, the album began to receive press mentions. The band soon attracted the attention of Magic Bullet Records, who repackaged the record and released it in CD format in June 2006. This was followed by a cassette release in December of the same year and a vinyl release the following March. The album has generally received positive reviews, including being named best album of 2006 by the editor of ''Rock Sound'' magazine, Darren Taylor.
