''This Will Destroy You'' is the second studio album by American avant-rock band This Will Destroy You. It was released on January 29, 2008, through Magic Bullet Records. The vinyl version of the album was pressed on red, blue and white vinyl and contains a quote from the television series Deadwood (TV series), Deadwood ("I may have fucked my life up flatter than hammered shit, but I stand before you today beholden to no human cocksucker") etched around the center label. "Burial on the Presidio Banks" was featured in the final scene of the ''CSI: Miami'' episode "Flight Risk", while "They Move on Tracks of Never-Ending Light" was used as part of an NBC introductory film narrated by Tom Brokaw which overviews Canada for the 2010 Winter Olympics. This Will Destroy You (abbreviated as TWDY) is an American post-rock band from San Marcos, Texas, formed in 2004. They typically compose lengthy atmospheric instrumental pieces, featuring layers of effects-laden guitar and a heavy usage of dynamics. Their fourth album ''Another Language'', released in 2014, entered the ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Album Chart at number 7. Thomas John Brokaw (; born February 6, 1940) is an American retired network television journalist and author. He first served as the co-anchor of ''The Today Show'' from 1976 to 1981 with Jane Pauley, then as the anchor and managing editor of ''NBC Nightly News'' for 22 years (1982–2004). Monyreak Oum ( ; June 22, 1981 – February 1, 2015) was an American web-based animator and writer. Oum attracted attention within the gaming community after releasing an animated video in 2007, titled ''Haloid'', where characters from the ''Halo'' and ''Metroid'' video game franchises fight against each other'','' which went viral. In October of the same year, he released a follow-up, ''Dead Fantasy''. Oum began working for Rooster Teeth, serving as the lead animator for ''Red vs. Blue'', and creating the original animated series ''RWBY''.
