Jennifer McClellan
Jennifer Leigh McClellan (born December 28, 1972) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the Virginia state senator from the 9th district since 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, she was previously elected to the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017, representing the 71st district. McClellan is vice chair of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus, and is a former president of the Virginia Young Democrats, vice chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia, and member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). She was a candidate in the Democratic primary for governor of Virginia in the 2021 election, coming in third place and losing the nomination to former governor Terry McAuliffe. 2021 Virginia Gubernatorial Election
The 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election was held on November 2, 2021, to elect the next governor of Virginia. The election was concurrent with other elections for Virginia state offices. Incumbent Democratic Governor Ralph Northam was Term limits in the United States, ineligible to run for reelection, as the Constitution of Virginia prohibits governors from serving consecutive terms. Republican Party (United States), Republican businessman Glenn Youngkin won the party's nomination at the party's May 8 convention, which was held in 37 polling locations across the state, and was officially declared the nominee on May 10. The Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party held its primary election on June 8, which former Governor Terry McAuliffe easily won. Henrico County, Virginia
Henrico County , officially the County of Henrico, is located in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 334,389 making it the fifth-most populous county in Virginia. Henrico County is included in the Greater Richmond Region. Matoaca High School
Matoaca High School is a secondary school in the Matoaca community of unincorporated Chesterfield County, United States. This is the newer campus of the school; the old school campus was converted into a middle school, known currently as Matoaca Middle School. The school's mascot is the Warrior. Matoaca is well known for its sports and its technology specialty center. This school has a technology specialty program for students to learn about the computer industry, through teaching classes such as Oracle I and II, Cisco, and IT1 and 2 (preparatory classes for Network+ and A+ certifications).
