Jennifer Johnson (criminal)
The Babes in the Wood Murders were the murders of two nine-year-old girls, Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway, on 9 October 1986, by a 20-year-old local roofer, Russell Bishop in Wild Park, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, Sussex, England. Bishop was tried and acquitted in 1987. The case remained open until 10 December 2018, when Bishop was found guilty of the murders in a second trial. The investigation into the two girls' murders is the largest and longest-running inquiry ever conducted by Sussex Police. The murders became known as the ''Babes in the Wood murders'' after the children's tale. Case Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway were best friends who lived close to one another on the Moulsecoomb estate in the north of Brighton, but who attended different schools. Jennifer Johnson (golfer)
Jennifer Jean Johnson (born August 2, 1991) is an American professional golfer. Johnson was born in San Diego, California. She played one year of college golf at Arizona State University. She was an All-American as a freshman, then turned professional. She played on several winning U.S. amateur teams: Junior Ryder Cup in 2008, Junior Solheim Cup in 2009, and Curtis Cup in 2010. She lost to Jennifer Song in the 2009 U.S. Women's Amateur final. Johnson turned professional in 2010. She won her first professional tournament at the 2013 Mobile Bay LPGA Classic. In 2017, she became an assistant coach of the Cal State San Marcos men's golf team. Jennifer Ellen Johnson née Brown (born October 25, 1948) is a former wheelchair basketball player and a para table tennis player. She developed polio at the age of five in Jamaica. She has represented Jamaica at the Paralympics from 1968 to 1980 and then represented the United States at the Paralympics from 1984 to 2004. She was married to Denton Johnson before his death. Sporting career Johnson first started playing ball sports in her teens, she was introduced to a lot of sports and was interested in table tennis. Jennifer Johnson Cano is an American operatic mezzo-soprano. Before her college education, she attended St. Pius X High School (Festus, Missouri), graduating in the Class of 2002. While in high school, she was a member of the choir, singing at Mass and state competitions. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Webster University and a Master of Music degree from Rice University where she was a pupil of Kathleen Kaun. In 2008 she won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and in 2009 she won the Young Concert Artists competition and was the recipient of a Sullivan Foundation grant. She was a member of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.
