Jember Railway Station
Jember Station (JR) is a large-scale railway station located in Jemberlor, Patrang, Jember Regency. The station located at an altitude of +89 meters is the largest station in the management of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operation Area IX Jember. The station is near from Jember town square. The station that still uses mechanical signaling system has eight tracks plus one track connected to Jember Locomotive Depot located on the northwest part of the station. Jember Regency
Jember Regency is a regency of East Java province, Indonesia. The population was 2,332,726 at the 2010 census and 2,536,729 at the 2020 Census. Its administrative capital is the urban area of Jember, which with 359,184 inhabitants in 2020 is the third largest urban area in East Java province (after Surabaya and Malang) but does not have municipality or city status as it is split between three separate districts. Jember is famous for its tobacco farms and traditional food called tape which is made of fermented cassava. Geography Jember Regency has a total area of 3,306.69 km2. Side Platform
A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. Ketapang Station (formerly Banyuwangi Baru Station) is a railway station, managed by Kereta Api Indonesia, located at Ketapang, Kalipuro, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java.
