Jem Records (also known as JEM Records) was a United States record label that existed from 1970 to 1988, at the time principally known as the parent company of Passport Records. The label was resurrected in 2013 as Jem Recordings. History Jem Records, based on South Plainfield, New Jersey, was founded in 1970 by college friends Jeff Tenenbaum, Ed Grossi, and Marty Scott, also known as Martin L. Scott. The soundtrack was released as an album in 1975 by Ode Records, produced by Richard Hartley (composer), Richard Hartley. Release and reception The album peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 in 1978. It reached No. 12 on the Kent Music Report, Australian albums chart and No. 11 on the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand, New Zealand albums chart. John Matarazzo is an American musician, composer, producer and performer. He has worked with artists including Bill Laswell, Blood Sweat & Tears, Bob Dylan, Ike & Tina Turner, Sly & The Family Stone, Ravi Shankar, Herbie Hancock, Daniela Mercury and Buckethead. In 2010, he established the experimental electronic music project Logical Drift. Career Matarazzo began his career as an audio editing software representative for CBS Discos International. E.G. Records was a British artist management company and independent record label, mostly active during the 1970s and 1980s. The initials stood for its founders, David Enthoven and John Gaydon. The pair signed on as managers of King Crimson in early 1969, during the formative stage of the band and prior to the release of debut ''In the Court of the Crimson King'', with it springboarding their entrance into the record label and music publishing markets.
