Jei Beibi
''Jei Beibi'' (phonetic pronunciation of "Hey Baby" in Spanish) is the eighth studio album by Mexican band, Café Tacuba, released on May 5, 2017. It is their first album in five years. Having fulfilled their recording contract with Universal Music México, they decided to record future projects independently. A single, "Un Par de Lugares" was recorded during the Jei Beibi sessions but was left off the final album. Three singles were eventually released from the album: "Futuro", "Que No", and "Disolviéndonos". The band embarked on the Niu Güéis (New Ways) Tour to promote the album. The album won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2018. This is the first album in which lead singer Rubén Albarrán does not use a pseudonym. Café Tacvba (Pronounced ''kaˈfe taˈkuβa'') is a band from Ciudad Satélite, Mexico. The group gained popularity in the early 1990s. They were founded in 1989, before they had the current lineup of Rubén Isaac Albarrán Ortega (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Emmanuel del Real Díaz (keyboards, piano, programming, rhythm guitar, melodica, vocals), José Alfredo "Joselo" Rangel Arroyo (lead guitar, vocals), and Enrique "Quique" Rangel Arroyo: (bass guitar, electric upright bass, vocals), their friend Roberto Silva played the keyboards for a short period of time. Gustavo Alfredo Santaolalla (born 19 August 1951) is an Argentine musician, composer, and record producer. He is known for composing his film scores with his collaborator and acclaimed director Alejandro González Iñárritu, which composed the first four psychological drama films Iñárritu directed. He also composed the original scores for the video games ''The Last of Us'' (2013) and ''The Last of Us Part II'' (2020), as well as the themes for television series such as ''Jane the Virgin'' (2014–2019) and ''Making a Murderer'' (2015–2018). Rubén Isaac Albarrán Ortega (born February 1, 1967) is a Mexican musician, singer, song writer, music producer, and activist. He is a member and founder of the alternative rock band Café Tacvba. As singer and frontman of Café Tacvba, the artist has characterized himself by his energetic attitude onstage and for presenting himself as different characters and aliases throughout his career.
