Jeff Weninger
Jeff Weninger is an American politician and a former Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 17 from 2015 to 2023. Before serving in the legislature, Weninger served on the Chandler City Council for eight years and held the position of Vice Mayor. He was a candidate for State Treasurer of Arizona in the 2022 election, but lost the primary to incumbent Treasurer Kimberly Yee. Elections * 2014 – Weninger and J.D. 2022 Arizona State Treasurer Election
The 2022 Arizona State Treasurer election took place on November 8, 2022, to elect the State Treasurer of Arizona, concurrently with other federal and state elections. Incumbent Republican Treasurer Kimberly Yee initially ran for governor, but suspended her campaign on January 15, 2022, and ran for re-election as the Republican nominee, defeating the Democratic nominee, State Senator Martín Quezada, by a margin of 11.4%. Kimberly Yee (born February 23, 1974) is an American politician serving as the 36th Arizona state treasurer. She is the first Asian-American woman elected to the Arizona State Legislature. A member of the Republican Party, she was elected to the Arizona House of Representatives for the 10th legislative district from 2011 to 2013 and the Arizona Senate for the 20th legislative district from 2013 until 2019. On November 29, 2017, she announced her candidacy for the position of Arizona state treasurer; she was elected to the position on November 6, 2018.
