Jeff Stone (California Politician)
Jeff Stone (born January 30, 1956) is an American politician and pharmacist who served as a member of the California State Senate from 2014 to 2019 and is serving as a member of the Nevada State Senate since 2022. A member of the Republican Party, Stone represented the 28th district, encompassing parts of Riverside County. Prior to his 2014 election to the state senate, he was a Riverside County Supervisor. Stone stepped down from the Senate in 2019 after being nominated Western Regional Director of the United States Department of Labor by President Donald Trump. After his federal position ended in 2021, he became a full-time resident of Nevada and now represents the Nevada's 20th Senate district. Nevada State Senate
The Nevada Senate is the upper house of the Nevada Legislature, the state legislature of U.S. state of Nevada, the lower house being the Nevada Assembly. It currently (2012–2021) consists of 21 members from single-member districts. In the previous redistricting (2002–2011) there were 19 districts, two of which were multimember. Since 2012, there have been 21 districts, each formed by combining two neighboring state assembly districts. Each State Senator represented approximately 128,598 as of the 2010 United States Census. Article Four of the Constitution of Nevada sets that State Senators serve staggered four-year terms. California's 36th congressional district is a U.S. congressional district in California. Based in the eastern part of Riverside County, it covers most of the desert communities of Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indio, Coachella, Rancho Mirage, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells and Cathedral City in the Inland Empire. Bonnie Garcia
Bonnie Garcia (born August 13, 1962) is a California politician. She was the representative for California's 80th State Assembly district, serving eastern Riverside County and all of Imperial County, from 2002 through 2008. In 2014 she was a candidate for the California State Senate to represent the 28th district, centered in Riverside County but lost the Republican primary to Jeff Stone. She is a Republican and lives in Palm Desert, California.
