Jeff Rabkin
Jeff Rabkin (born 1958 in South Africa) is a former Israel international bowls player. Bowls career Born in South Africa he started playing aged 18 and after emigrating to Israel in 1985 he won the Israeli national title seven times and the masters sixteen times and in February 2000 he reached a career high ranking of world number one. He has won three medals in the singles event at consecutive World Bowls Championships; he won a bronze medal in 1992 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Worthing followed by a silver medal at the 1996 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Adelaide and a bronze medal at the 2000 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Johannesburg. World Bowls Championship
The World Bowls Championship is the premier world bowls competition between national bowls organisations. The premier indoor event is the World Indoor Bowls Championships listed separately and is organised by the World Bowls Tour. World Outdoor Championships First held in Australia in 1966, the World Outdoor Bowls Championships for men and women are held every four years. From 2008 the men's and women's events were held together. Qualifying national bowls organisations (usually countries) are represented by a team of five players, who play once as a single and a four, then again as a pair and a triple. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded in each of the four disciplines, and there is also a trophy for the best overall team — the Leonard Trophy for men and the Taylor Trophy for women. Cecil Bransky (born 15 May 1942) is a former lawn and indoor international bowler. Bowls career Cecil was born in South Africa and reached the 1971 South African National Bowls Championships singles final and one year later went one better by winning it, bowling for Balfour Park, South Transvaal. Later he moved to Israel and won twelve national titles. He was the 1985 World Indoor Bowls Championship runner up. He won a Gold medal in the triples during the 1992 World Outdoor Bowls Championships. Because he moved to Israel he was able to compete in international competition despite the South African ban during his active years.
