Gary Samuel McCloy (born 28 May 1969) is an Irish international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career He won a bronze medal in the fours at the 2000 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Johannesburg. Ian McClure (born 23 August 1973) is an indoor and lawn bowler. Profile Ian McClure is from Coleraine and began playing bowls in 1988 after being introduced to the sport by his father and the ex-international Willie Murray. Hugh Martin McHugh (born 1973) is a Northern Irish international lawn bowler. Bowls career World Championships McHugh has competed in four World Bowls Championships in 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2016. He won a triples bronze medal in the 2000 World Outdoor Bowls Championship and in 2016, was part of the combined Irish fours team with Simon Martin, Neil Mulholland and Ian McClure that won a bronze medal in Christchurch. Willie Wood (bowler)
William Walker Wood MBE (born 26 April 1938 in Haddington, East Lothian) is a former Scottish professional bowls player, who has mainly competed in the outdoor or lawn form of the game. He is regarded as one of the leading bowlers of his generation and his list of achievements include appearing at eight Commonwealth Games and winning two gold medals and eight World Bowls Championship gold medals. Early life Wood took up bowls at the age of 12, perhaps unsurprisingly as his father, grandfather and mother all played the sport. With little else to occupy his time, Wood says he elected to bowl in his home village of Gifford, rather than brave the bus journey to the swimming baths at nearby North Berwick. Peter Belliss
Peter James Belliss (born 12 November 1951) is a former lawn bowls player for New Zealand. Background Belliss was born in Wanganui in 1951, attending (and playing rugby football at) Wanganui Boys' College. He started playing in the 1970s in the Aramaho (Wanganui) club; Joseph Romanos called him ''The young Turk of lawn bowls''. He had been a railways fitter, and in 1982 was the first New Zealand lawn bowler to turn professional. Rowan James Brassey (born 18 January 1956) is a former New Zealand international lawn and indoor bowls player. Bowls career An earth-moving contractor by trade, Brassey's first national success was the 1980 New Zealand Open Pairs.
