Jeff Martin is an American operatic tenor who made a career based in Germany, singing at international opera houses and concert halls. Focused on character roles, he has appeared as Mime in Wagner's '' Der Ring des Nibelungen'' and Herod in ''Salome'' by Richard Strauss, and appeared in several world premieres. Career Martin studied voice at Westminster Choir College and Cincinnati University. Based in Germany, Martin appeared as Herod in ''Salome'' by Richard Strauss at the Opernhaus Dortmund in 2007. Jeffery Louis Martin is an American musician, singer and drummer who has sung for the bands Racer X, Bad Dog, Surgical Steel and St. Michael and played drums for the bands Badlands, the Michael Schenker Group, Blindside Blues Band, Red Sea, St. Michael and The Electric Fence, a side project with Paul Gilbert and Russ Parrish. Jeff Martin played drums for Paul Gilbert, George Lynch, Dokken, and P.K. Mitchell. Martin played drums in Surgical Steel before switching to lead vocals and was the drummer/lead vocalist for St. Michael, both Phoenix, AZ-based bands. He released a lone solo album in 2006, ''The Fool'', featuring the guitar talents of Paul Gilbert and Michael Schenker and has also sung backing vocals for Judas Priest and The Scream. Jeffrey Scott Martin ( Brill; born October 2, 1969) is a Canadian guitarist and singer, best known for fronting the rock band The Tea Party. He began his career as a solo artist in 2005, when The Tea Party went on hiatus. Biography Early years Martin began playing guitar as a child and in his adolescence played in bands The Shadows, Modern Movement, and The Stickmen. In 1988, Jeff graduated from Sandwich Secondary School along with future Tea Party bandmates Jeff Burrows and Stuart Chatwood. He went on to study music at the University of Windsor before leaving his studies prematurely due to philosophical differences with his music professor. Martin has perfect pitch, as highlighted on "The Science of a Rock Concert", an episode of ''Daily Planet'' on Discovery Channel Canada. Jeffery Allen Martin (born January 14, 1967) is an American former professional basketball player. Martin, a 6'5" shooting guard from Murray State University, was selected in the second round, 31st pick overall in the 1989 NBA draft, by the Los Angeles Clippers. He played two seasons in the NBA. College career In 1988, Martin became the first basketball player in Murray State, and Ohio Valley Conference, history to be invited to the Olympic trials for the US Basketball Team. This was the last year that professionals were not allowed on the team. Martin did not make the team but impressed many with his performance. In 1989, he was named an All-American and had his number (15) retired. Jeff Martin (born 1965) is an American game designer and entrepreneur best known as the founder of True Adventures and President of Dwarven Forge from 2004 to 2014. Martin has numerous industry credits, not limited to having front-page articles in Polyhedron, as well as being a finalist for the Diana Jones Award for Excellence in Gaming. Martin has authored or co-authored dozens of modules for various platforms including '' Advanced Dungeons & Dragons'' (AD&D), ''True Dungeon'', and '' Marvel Superheroes''. Jeff Martin is an American television producer and writer. He originally wrote for ''The Simpsons'' during the second, third, fourth and fifth seasons, and eventually returned over 20 years later to write again for seasons 27 and 28. He attended Harvard University, where he wrote for ''The Harvard Lampoon'', as have many other ''Simpsons'' writers. He left along with most of the original staff in 1993, and has since written for several TV shows, including '' Listen Up!'', ''Baby Blues'' and '' Homeboys in Outer Space''. He also wrote for ''Late Night with David Letterman'' during the 1980s, and occasionally appeared on the show as Flunky the late-night viewer mail clown, a depressed clown who smoked cigarettes and sometimes talked about his infected tattoos and other health problems. Idaho is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Los Angeles, California. Idaho was a key band in the 1990s slowcore genre. Idaho was formed by high school friends Jeff Martin and John K. Berry who had played in various bands and projects together since 1981. The duo, who switched off on drumming duties and shared in the songwriting, were eventually signed to Caroline Records in December 1992 by Brian Long, and soon after released ''The Palms'' EP and ''Year After Year'' full-length in 1993.
