Jeannette Richardson-Baars
Jeanette Richardson-Baars is the Director of the Aruba Police Academy, holding the rank of chief inspector in the Aruba Police Force. She was honored on 19 June 2012 by the U.S. Department of State with the annual Trafficking in Persons report for her efforts in combating human trafficking. The Aruba Police Force (Dutch: ''Korps Politie Aruba'' or ''KPA'', Papiamento: ''Cuerpo Policial Aruba'') is the law enforcement agency of Aruba. The force operates under the authority of the Minister of Justice and Social Affairs. History In 1923, the Police Corps consisted of 8 officers and was understaffed. The first police station was an Aruban house located at the corner of Kazernestraat and Theaterstraat in San Nicolaas. It was used as a precinct until 1939.
