Jean Marc Ndjofang
Jean Marc Ndjofang (born 15 March 1976 in Ebolowa) is a Cameroonian draughts player, resident since 2002 in the Netherlands. He was List of Draughts African Championship winners, African champion in 2000 and 2010. In 2011 at the Draughts World Championship he took third place. In 2013 World Draughts Championship, 2013 he placed second at the Draughts World Championship. In 2015 World Draughts Championship match, 2015 he played the World Draughts Championship match with Alexander Georgiev from Russia. In 2017 Jean Marc Ndjofang became World Draughts Championship blitz. Draughts World Championship
The Draughts World Championship is the world championship in international draughts and is held every two years. In the even year following the tournament, the World Title match takes place. The men's championship began in 1885 in France and since 1948 it's organised by the World Draughts Federation (FMJD). The men's championship has had winners from the Netherlands, Canada, the Soviet Union, Senegal, Latvia, and Russia. The current men's champion is Roel Boomstra. Since 1998, there is also a Draughts World Championship held with the blitz time control (5 minutes plus an increment of 5 seconds per move), and since 2014 also with the rapid time control (15 min + 5 sec per move). 2013 World Draughts Championship
The 2013 World Draughts Championship was an international draughts tournament held in Ufa, Russia. 40 players from 24 countries who qualified through the championships of Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America competed in the tournament, which began on June 2, 2013 and ended on June 20, 2013. Among them was women's Draughts World Champion Zoja Golubeva from Latvia. Alexander Georgiev (Russia) became the World Champion. The 2015 World Draughts Championship match at the international draughts was held October 25–31, 2015 in Izmir, Turkey International Draughts Federation FMJD between the actual World Champion Alexander Georgiev (Russia) and the challenger Jean Marc Ndjofang (Cameroon). Alexander Georgiev won 7-7-6-6 against 7-5-4-12 and became eight times world champion. Rules and regulations The match consists of seven micro-matches.
